Charles de Lint is known as a master in the field of contemporary fantasy, helping to pioneer the genre with his groundbreaking novel Moonheart (1984). His numerous awards and honours include the World Fantasy Award, the Canadian SF/Fantasy Aurora Award, and the White Pine Award, among others. Modern Library's Top 100 Books of the 20th Century poll, conducted by Random House and voted on by readers, put eight of de Lint's books among the top 100.

His website is www.charlesdelint.com.

Violette Malan lives in southeastern Ontario with her husband. People tend to ask her about the choreography of stripping – and she'll answer – but most of the time she's the author of the Dhulyn and Parno sword-and-sorcery series, and the Mirror Lands, a primary world series. As VM Escalada, she's the author of the upcoming Halls of Law novels, all available from DAW.

You'll find her on Facebook, on Twitter, and check her website: www.violettemalan.com

Matthew Johnson's stories have appeared in such places as Asimov’s Science Fiction, Strange Horizons, and The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and have been translated into Russian, Danish, and Czech. His first novel, Fall From Earth, was published in 2009 by Bundoran Press and Irregular Verbs, a collection of his short fiction, will be published by ChiZine Publications in 2014. He works as Director of Education for MediaSmarts, an internationally recognized media education organization, for whom creates lessons, computer games, comics and blogs, among other things. He lives in Ottawa with his wife Megan and a number of small mammals, some of whom are learning to talk.

His website is www.irregularverbs.ca.
